What Is The Treatment For Foot Injury?

I am a 73 year old long distance who has had triple-by-pass heart and a pace maker. I developed a foot injurt laast october and didn't start running again until March 1st 2011. I did alot of spin biking and downhill sking in an effort to stay in shape. When I started running again in March , I noticed that I had lost alot cardiovascular wise. I was running great last summer and fall and now I get tired and out of breathe easily when only running short distances. Can you give me some reasons ? I find it hard to believe that I have slowed down that much since last fall when I was in great shape and doing repeat 400's at close to 6 minute pace.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Changing cardiopulmonary status along with reduced nutrition could have affected.
2. Need to start with water aerobics, swimming exercises to improve cardiopulmonary activity.
3. Check for anemia. It could be the main cause.
4. Training is required in plenty due to changing cardiopulmonary status and muscle weakness. Regular training will be helpful. Take protein rich diet along with plenty of water.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
