What Is The Treatment For Infected Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area?

My daughter is 26 years old. Her doctor is treating her for infected lymph nodes in her groin area. The doctor gave her Valtrex, although my daughter doesn t have any sores and has only had cold sores as a child. She doesn t have HIV, she was just tested. Could the Valtrex make her have a low grade fever , slight dizziness and she is having a little difficulty focusing her eyes? The doctor is upsetting her making her think she has a sexually transmitted disease. I would like to know if there is any relationship between cellulitus, impetiago which she had within the last year and cysts on her head as a teenager. She also has tattoos which I keep thinking may have brought some kind of infection into her body.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is really infective lymph node then this need to be treated accordingly "Valtrex" actually given in viral infection, if this is being given for lymph node swelling or infection then this would be questionable, condition may not be related with cellulitis, impetigo, or cyst, if this is just lymph node and not having any infection then no need to treat this condition, take care have a good day, ( Etiology is main concern in all the clinical symptoms and not the medicines )
