What Is The Treatment For Leaky And Infected Colon After Hernia Surgery?
MY WIFE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR HERNA SURGERY. THE SURGEN PUT A HOLD IN HER COLON. HE SAID HE STITCHED IT UP. ONE WEEK LATER SHE HAD INFECTION IN HER COLON. ANOTHER WEEK LATER HE DID ANOTHER SURGERY, THE COLON WAS LEAKING, THIS STARTED 12 10 13. SHE STILL HAS 3 DRAINS 2 IS STARTING TO CLEAR UP, THE OTHER ONE IS BROWN COLOR SHE HAS HAD 4 SURGIES SINCE 12 10 13, SHE IS HOME BUT NOT DOING GOOD. SHE SHAKES BAD THAT MAY BE FROM THE MED'S. I DONT KNOW. WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO????
Dear sir, you need to take her to the hospital again as shaking is a sign of fever and infection. she should have surgery to remove the leaking part or repair it if it could be repaired. and get a colostomy to diverge the path of intestinal content away from the resected or repaired part until it heals completely then close the colostomy and diverge the path of intestinal contents to its normal passage
