Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I tore my knee three years ago, it took forever to get better, now I recently tore it again, also now my ancle is acting up. I can go strait to a specialist , I prefer not to go to a regular doctor who could prescribe pain meds, and come back in a few weeks. I work physical for a living and have to get better fast so I can keep going.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The ligament tear in the knee usually heals with conservative treatment with adequate rest if it is only a partial thickness tear of the ligament. Full thickness or extensive tears need surgical repair. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
