What Is The Treatment For Optic Nerve Damage In Eye?

Hi ,

My niece is 7 years old and her optical nerve is damaged .Is there any treatment
for this.Can you please let me know if there are any care and precautions to be
taken it prevent it from further spreading or damaging the eye.

Hi Gnana,
Welcome to HCM.
First of all the cause for optic nerve damage has to be established. If the damage causing factor could be removed and the damage has not been very severe, the nerve will gradually regain it's function. On the other ground if the nerve is damaged beyond repair or the damage causing factor cannot be removed, then very little can be done to save that nerve.

I had operatd my brian tumore 6 yrs back, I am perfectly O K , Now i feel that my eye sight is a little blur pl suggest a medicine.
