What Is The Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Hand After Physiotherapy?
I am taking physiotherapy for trap tendinitis and have also developed symptoms of rotator cuff tear. Since Monday s therapy (moist heat and TENS) my hand began to swell. Therapist suggested I remove my ring but said nothing more. My hand is even more swollen after today s therapy, which also added tolerated exercise, which did not amount to much, due to pain. None of the sites I have searched mention this symptom. Should I wait till Monday therapy and is there something I can do at home other than my TENS and heat treatments?
Medication like methylcobalamine with muscle relaxant and analgesic will reduce pain, you can take them consulting your treating doctor. You may consult physiotherapist for further guidance. He may start IFT ,or ultrasound which is helpful in your case. You may need to take rest for early healing.
Also check your vit B12 and vit D3 in your blood.
If not relieved arthroscopic treatment will help.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care Regards Dr Vaibhav
