What Is The Treatment For Pain Caused Due To A Bump At The Base Of My Child S Skull?

My 9 y/o noticed a bump at the base of her skull about one month now. However today she is complaining of terrible pain when any pressure is placed on it. It is the size of a dime and has no discoloration or redness you can definitely feel it kinda of soft with a hard center. No head injuries.

It could be a painful lymph gland. Sometime you can get lymph glands due to some skin infection and other reasons. Try some analgeics like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen (after meals). Check her scalp for any signs of scratching or skin infection.
