Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have diverticulitis. I'm experiencing severe pain in my abdomen, vomiting can only hold down liquids and my vomit smells like fecal matter. Back and forth between diarrhea and constipation, blood in my stool, black stool and sometimes throw up from my nose, mouth, and diarrhea at the same time. Should I go back to a specialist. I've only been prescribed one med, told to take fiber, restricted diet so forth. It's getting worse
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the symptoms are worse then it is better to see the surgeon else mild symptoms can be managed with antiemetic like Domperidone 20 mg three times in day along with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day, in condition of infection Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days can be tried, care need to be taken for dehydration, hope this information helps.
