What Is The Treatment For Painful Swelling In Anus?
Hi, i have this bump just above my anus, but it also comes along with a spread of swelliness along the outside. Its painful very painful and ive been to ER twice and they say i may hAve brushed my tail bone. But I totally don t think That s it. What could this be?
Hi The swelling around anus may be due to . 1 Fissure in anus , as you mentioned that ,this swelling is very painful and spreading , so this may be due to fissure in anus . 2 The 2nd reason may be abscess formation due to ingrown hair or pyoderma or furunculosis . This is ( around anus ) most common site for such type of infection , so consider this also. 3 Hemorrhoids , as sometimes painful piles ( hemorrhoids ) develops such type of swelling. 4 Coccygeal bone infection can not rule out . Diagnosis can be confirmed by C T scan of this part. It is very difficult to evaluate without physical examination so consult a general physician and get his opinion regarding this swelling. Good luck.
