What Is The Treatment For Poison Ivy?

I had a bad case of poison ivy and was prescribed prednisone. I did the full cycle and the blisters healed up. Since getting off the meds I itch and get hives like no other . Is this from getting off the prednisone to soon or still lingering from the poison ivy?

Hello and thank you for your question.
It depends upon how long you were on the prednisone. In order not to have some rebound reaction like itching and hives you need to start with a high dose and taper off over 2-3 weeks. If you were on it for a shorter period of time it could be a recurrence of symptoms.
Regards
