What Is The Treatment For Pounding Sensation In Head Due To Occipital Neuralgia?

I have occipital neuralgia. My pain is minimal but I have a serious pounding sensation in my head every night. it moves from side to side - front to back. sometimes I am unable to sleep. when I do not get my sleep, my head feels as if it is disconnected from my body - I I must lie in the bed for hours until I reconnect.
