What Is The Treatment For Purple Bruise On Buttock After Injury?

Hi, I fell on some stairs yesterday and have developed a huge black and purple bruise on my butt. It has swollen so much you can see it through my clothes. It is extremely painful still, but the part that concerns me is that I feel nauseous. I did not go to the doctors as I thought there s nothing they can do for a bruise. I iced it straight away

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to the bruise due to the injury.
Rest the bruised area, if possible.
Ice the bruise with an ice pack wrapped in a towel.
Leave it in place for 10 to 20 minutes and epeat several times a day for a day or two as needed.
Compress the bruised area if it is swelling, using an elastic bandage but don't make it too tight.
Elevate the injured area.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
