What Is The Treatment For Radiating Pain In The Back Of My Knee?

Pain behind knee radiating down back of leg. Constant. When I straighten my leg I can feel like a ligament or tendon, like a big rubberband stretching. It is tender to touch. I tried wearing a knee brace at work today without much help. This just started yesterday at work. I am a prep cook in a large university catering kitchen.
