What Is The Treatment For Retinitis Pigmentosa?
Hello Sir;
myself dharanish from bangalore, Both of my are suffering from RETINITIS PIGMENTOSA diseas,
Aged 17 and 20.
we consulted few eye specialists in bangalore, all of them told that they will lose their vision within 3 to 4 years.
so we are worried and looking for any treatment which will heal this or reduce the rate of degradtion.
Please guide us regarding the treatment, hospitals( Ayurvedic, homeo, or alopathy) near bangalore.

It seems from the history that you are diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa. It is a disease affecting the rods resulting in gradual loss if night vision and peripheral vision..
As of now there is no definitive treatment for it. But don't loose hope not all will loose vision and progression can be prevented by prophylaxis with vitamin A and treatment of macular edema by acetazolamide.
The definitive treatment in the form of retinal chip implant can be available shortly.
