What Is The Treatment For Sciatica Nerve?

Patient's History

He was working as a post master in Indian post office and got retired on 31st july 2006(at the age of 60years).

He was doing fine till Sept2008.In Oct 2008 he got pain in his waist and he was using pain killer(Omnacartil) to

get relief from this pain In the month of Dec 2008 he felt pain in his right leg and this pain was starting from

waist and it was going through thigh, legs and all the way to his feet. He consulted with some doctors and they

diagnosed this pain as sciatica pain .Still with the same pain killer he was getting relief so he continued with

that pain killer .In March 2008 he felt unbearable pain in his waist and legs and now it was very difficult to walk.

One day he got feint with pain ,we went to hospital in Varanasi, but they were not able to diagnose properly and didn’t

get any relief so went to Preeti Hospital Allahabad .They diagnosed and confirmed that they were some problem(ulcer/blood with amenia)

in intestine due to pain killer. With Preeti hospital’s medication he got relief, but here he got medication for intestine and not for

the Sciatica .Once he recovered with intestine problem and got some strength, again the sciatica pain started paining .

So he consulted to Dr. S.P.Singh Anand hospital Allahabad, he advised that sciatic nerve is getting compress and we need

to remove this compression on L2-L3 to get rid of this pain. And Doctor advised that this whole surgery will recover within 15days.

He got convinced for surgery and went for surgery on 14th April 2009. As per doctor, in surgery it was too much bleeding so we donated

around 7-8 units of bloods .one night he was in the ICU in morning he shifted to normal ward and it seems, at that time everything was

fine ie his leg movement was fine, in legs proper sensation were there. After 7 days while cutting the stitches again bleed started,

so again on 21stApril he went for surgery and as per doctor he didn’t do much just reopened it ,and there were some bloods clots ,

he removed those clots and put the stitches and in this reopen surgery,as per doctor,it was again too much bleeding, and it was very

difficult to do anything inside and again he asked for 4 units of bloods. When he returned from OT second time he was not able to move

his legs, even he was not able to sense his legs.but doctor was saying its due to anesthesia ,but after 2 days, the condition was same,

and he lost sensitivity and movement in his legs. He was on the same doctor’s medication and after 3-4 months he got sensation and movement

in his thighs but not in the full legs.

In Sept 2009 doctor called him to remove the urine tube(Catheters) , he removed Catheters but one more problem got created,

he was getting the burning when urine was coming ,there is no control on urine it was coming automatically.Sensation near anal area and

in penis is almost zero so its very difficult to pass the urine and stool ,We are helping him to pull stool from anal.

He went through all the urine test and it seems every thing looks good. all the test reports are attached.urologist suggested that

burning problem is related to nerve only, so once he will be ok with nerve, urine problem will go off automatically.

Now he has consulted SGPGI lucknow neuro team,Dr Nirala neurosurgeon in Lucknow and currently consulting to Drbatras homeopathic clicnic.

Patient’s current problem

1.Always he is feeling he need to go for toilet. In 30 min to 1hrs he is going for toilet.

2.When he sits for toilet he is getting burning more and he is applying too much force to pass the urine and stool, as near anal area and in penis there is no sensation. So some time stool will be stuck in last portion of anal, we need to take it out manually. At the end of passing urine ie.in last 1-2 drop of urine he is getting too much burning.

3.Now even he sits for tea or coffee he is getting burning in penis and anal area. Before 1-2 months he was ok to sit for 1-2 hours.

4.There is no sensation below the knee(back portion) in both legs.In front portion of legs seation is there. But in feet there is no sensation.

5.There is no sensation new anal area.

6.He is getting too much burning in his feet from past 2 months.

7.He is not able to walk .
