What Is The Treatment For Shin Injury?

hello, my husband got injured on his shin while playing football (soccer) 5 days ago, he continued to play after the injury and went on a long walk less than 24 hours since the incident. the next day he was having trouble with the said area and experienced extreme amounts of pain and since then the pain has increased, a bruise had developed and just today we noticed a yellowish hue spreading beyond his injury. his injured leg has started to radiate heat as well. should he be taken to the hospital immediately?

Hello,Thanks for your query.After going through your query I came to know that your husband got injury to your shin and got hematoma. He is having extreme amount of pain and pain has increased, injured leg has started to radiate heat as well, if he also got fever, then he needs taken to the hospital immediately.It seems that hematoma got infected, hence needing urgent attension. In these cases aspiration with wide bore needle is done to suck the collected blood under aseptic condition for which you need to visit doctor.
