What Is The Treatment For Sore Spot On My Butt Cheek?

I have a sore spot on my left butt cheek ( no bump) for almost a week. Yesterday I noticed it was starting to bruise. Today, it has a large bruise and still hurts. Also, it feels like it has a knot under the skin mabe 2inches long. Any ideas? I think it may be a tore muscle or a bruised muscle

Hi,

I can understand your concern for sore spot on butt cheek.

You should meet your treating doctor to rule out any secondary infection at the biopsy site. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as gentamycin or fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

Take care.
