Sir, my brother got maningitis when he was of 9 month.Now he is all right but cann't speak even at age of 2.5 years.His body balace is also not good.Can u help in this respect.I will be highly oblieged.thanking u.

Meningitis affects parts of the brain and these parts may not become normal even after recovery. Your brother may be suffering from the after effects of meningitis. He needs hearing Assessment tests, neurological examination and brain scan if necessary. You may be advised to give physiotherapy for his walking. Kindly meet your pediatrician.
