Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Treatment For Stomach Ulcer And Barrett's Oesophagus?
I am 29, 5'8 height, 152 pounds. I have a stomach ulcer and barrett's oesphogas for which I am taking Losec. I had two semen tests done, the first one in Decemeber and result was rapid progressive 10%, Slow prog 25% non Prog 10% immotile 55% and count 18 million. I had second test done in April and the results were rapid 15%, sloe 30% non 0% immotile 55% and count 2%!! My doctor is saying my our only option to conceive is to have IVF. He did not explain results to us. Can you clarify what the motility means and what our options would be?
The important is total count it should be 40 million to 300 million sperm per ml if the count is low and motility is normal then chances of conception is less and if the count is enough say more than 200 million/ml and motility is low, then chances of conception is good (Motility is nothing but the movement of sperm in one direction).
I would suggest to get done the semen analysis after the abstinence period of at least 20 days (No ejaculation should be there for 20 days by any means) and test should be done with fructose test.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
