What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knee?

My left leg from my knee down started off swelling and painful, as well as very sensitive to touch. i went to the ER was sent over for an ultrasound to make sure it was not a blood clot. Still in pain especially to touch. at times my leg feels like its on fire. what should i do?

To reduce swelling in legs, keep it raised from knee downward by placing pillows or cushions underneath the leg.Do minimum of walking and take medicines prescribed for pain and swelliing in ER.Do not massage. Seek appointment with orthopedic specialist if it doesn't subside
