What Is The Treatment For Swollen Ankles?

I had swollen ankles for quite a few years. However, recently my ankles swell to a very large size, and my legs and feet swell, too. I prop my legs and feet at night when I am in bed, and in the mornng the swelling goes down, but within a few hours they are back, big again.
