What Is The Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes For A 3 Year Old?

My 3 year old have two lymph nodes (cervical nodes) that are enlarged...it has happened recently. They are mobile, not tender, and he is asymptomatic from anything. We are waiting for blood test and ultrasound results (although the tech said that they are in fact lymph nodes). I am terrified. No other nodes nor is his spleen enlarged...but I am worried it is lymphoma. He had a runny nose a month ago....and has was build up in his ear on the same size. He is a relatively skinny guy.....I am VERY scared...

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Isolated enlargement of cervical lymph node Is quite common children. In majority of cases it's due to preceding upper respiratory tract infection or seborrhoeic dermatitis of scalp.

A course of antibiotics and treatment of scalp infection will be helpful in regression of lymph node.

Take care
