I had a throat infection more than 6 months ago and my local clinic had no idea what it was and how it was caused so they gave me penecilin as the antibiotic to get rid of the white patch beside my tonsils. I look in the mirror today and a small spec of white has arrived again. When I swallow I can feel that something is there as if there is a chunk of food stuck but it is the white patch. There is no pain and no irritation whatsoever, but I can notice it there. I have been actively performing oral sex to my girlfriend, which may be the primary cause. Currently, she may have a yeast infection on the outer area of her vagina as well (we dont know...small red spot, size of a pea but no swelling or rising). If it is a yeast infection, could it have possibily carried on to my throat? And what medications should I take to cure the white patch? Thank you.
