What Is The Treatment For Tightness In The Chest?

I had a very stressful life event a couple days ago that lead to strong boughts of crying and hyperventilation. Since then i have a tightness in my chest like a pulled muscle. Not sharp pains but when I breathe in there is an increased pain.. with the pain, i'm a bit light headed. I also haven't been sleeping. Is this somethign to worry about?

I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description, possibility of stress and anxiety related symptoms are more.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Newer anxiolytic drugs are safe and non habit forming. So don't worry, you will be alright.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
