What Is The Treatment For Tingling Sensation In The Penis And Pain While Urinating?

Hello doc, I am 22 years old, and for the past few months. The inside tip of my penis has a tingling feeling. It comes off and on. Some times it hurts when I urinate, but not all the time. I have noticed that I start to feel it more when I drink alcohol. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* The most common reason for tingling in penis with pain while urinating is urethritis, manifested via excess urination through alcoholism and secondary bacterial or fungal infection.

* My recommendations at present:
- Keep genitals clean with antiseptic liquid, dry.
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears.
- Avoid sexual intercourse if active.
- Drink plenty of liquids.
- Antibiotic therapy after clinical consultation with your family doc.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
