What Is The Treatment For Urinary And Bladder Problems?

I am 86, male, weight 200. Recently had right hip replacement June 3, 2014. My urine flow rate has seemingly decreased in this last month. Am not experiencing problem with empting bladder. Normally go to urinate once per night. Is decreased flow rate a significant concern?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query.
Reduced flow rate is mostly due to Enlarged Prostate which is very common at this age .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis .
1) Routine Urine test
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis.with post void residue .
3) Serum PA.
4) Uroflowmetry.

Taking Tomsulosin once daily will help to improve your urine flow.

Further treatment will be decided by concerned Urologist based on results of these tests and final diagnosis.
