Hello,

Tolterodine is one good drug used for urinary incontinence. It is a prescription drug.

Urinary incontinence could be due to various causes. You must be examined in detail by a urologist to ascertain the cause.

Treatment varies depending on the cause. Tolterodine can provide symptomatic relief, but the cure for the same is removing the causative factor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Hello,

You seem to have urgency incontinence due to Enlarged Prostate which is common at this age.

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get the following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.

1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis.
3) Serum PSA.
4) Uroflowmetry.

Further treatment will depend upon the result of these tests and final diagnosis. In the meanwhile start taking antibiotic like Cefixime and Nitrofurantoin along with Tamsulosin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
