What Is The Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection?

Hi..my father has been taking high doses(500mg) for an infection after having a tooth out.He has today been having problems urinating and is worried the tablets have affected it. He has one more days tablets to take but is reluctant to continue with them.He takes Tamsalusin for prostate problems..he is 89! Could you advise. Email YYYY@YYYY . Tksx

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Treatment of urinary tract infection is antibiotics. He can take levofloxacin or norfloxacin. These are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Continue your tamsulosin for the benign prostatic hyperplasia.
