What Is The Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection?

I have had a urinary tract infection for well over a year. It has been treated with a number of antibiotics but keeps returning. Until recently no specific bacteria has been revealed in the urinary tests I have had. They have now found citrobacter loseri and I have been given antibiotics that have temporarily cleared it up in he past. This condition is taking away my energy and giving me stomach and back pain. My GP doesn't seem to be concerned about it but I am. Can you tell me what I should do. I am 32 and have a business, a house and a 9 year old boy to look after so I need to get this problem treated as soon as possible. Many thanks Richard Scott

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
It must be treated with antibiotics and type of it depends on type f bcateria so urinculture should be done first. Also, you should drink plenty of fludis and take raspberry tea. If there is no imrpvement you shold do ultrasound of kidneys to check for stones or some urogenital anomalies which complicates uroinfection.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
