What Is The Treatment For Vaginal Fibroid Tumors ?

I m a 20-year old female, and I ve had a fibroid tumor for the past few years. Throughout these last few years, I ve had excruciating pain in my uterus area & I ve been throwing up blood and yellowish liquid. I went to the doctor several times, but they only give me birth control contraceptions(that don t work). I ve also tried multivitamins and iron tablets. My cycle won t regulate. It only gets worse. The bleeding is extremely heavy. Whenever I take medicine for the pain, it doesn t work or stay down . What should I do? I thought that I might have some kind of cancer because it runs in the family, but I don t know what kind of cancer runs in the family.

Firstly fibroids are not cancerous.If the size of the fibroid is small the conservative treatment is better esp since you are only 20.If is the fibroid is more than 4-5 cm then some intervention is required.Dont worry about cancer in this case.

Hi clenq, The fibroid is a smooth muscle tumor, there are 3 types, if it is of Intramural(in the muscle) there will be excess bleeding, not only during peroids but also irregular bleeds, leading to metorraghia. surgical removal is best treatment... Since your age is young surgery will be the last option... maximally they will try to treat with conservative management by medication... after a pregnancy and delivery,,. it is better to get operated.. chances of tuning to cancer is very less percent only 5%, hence do not worry...Hope I have answered your question..
