What Is The Treatment Of Headache After Car Accident ?

I was in a car accident 11 months ago. I was rear ended by a 19 yr. old kid - driving a big car. My Doctor told me that I had three slipped discs, and one was really bad. I started out having shooting pains up in the back of my head, and neck pains. Now I have headaches, and numbness in my fingers on my left hand. My left shoulder hurts so bad that I can barely wash my back or take off my shirt, the pain is that bad. I had an MRI done of my neck - the MRI is showing that I may have fractures in my neck, but on the MRI reading it doesn t even mention any fractures. My condition seems to be getting worse. What should I do?

Hello,

Besides MRI, X-rays of your cervical spine are necessary to evaluate properly any bone problems. Since your condition is worsening and there is evidence for slipped discs, you should see a Neurosurgeon for the possibility of surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
