ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat and as you said that you are a patient of a thyroid disease.

I would like to tell you that sore thrat is not concern with your thyroid problem and if youare having recurrent sore throat than you have to consult your ENT doctor to rule out any local pathology in upper respiratory tract like sinusitis, tonsillitis, adenoiditis and polyp in nose and sinuses. Because in these cases patient usually have recurrent or persistant sore throat and that may be accordingly manage by your specialist.

Your second query is for thyroid hormone for that I would like to say that doses of thyroid hormone depends on the level of hormone (T3, T4, TSH ) in your blood. Therefore your second query can be answered after your hormonal assesment.

Regards.
