What Is The Treatment Pain For While Urinating?

Hi, Hi doctor. I hope you can help me. My name is nadine, well where do i start... OK 2 years ago i was getting very sharp pains in my bladder especially when i was urinating, i got it a few times back then and the doctors where telling me all sorts, they asked for a urine sample, and they told me i had a urine infection, UTI, bladder stones ect on numerous occasions... I took different anti biotics, none worked until i got anti biotics for bladder stones, i didnt get the pains for 2 years then, now for the past year i have been suffering on and off again with the same pains, its very hard to explain these pains but they seem to have gotten worse each time i get them... I get very bad sharp pains while urinating, I feel the constant urge, bursting feeling to urinate all day, when i go to the toilet every 20 mins there is only dribbles, before i was getting blood clots now my urine is just pink from blood, the only thing that sooths me a little is pain killers, hot baths, water bottles and sitting on the toilet waiting for dribbles to come... I am 19, and i have been to the doctors a few times this year and they say the same urine infection, but surely i should not be getting it so often, i had got it at the start of the year after 2 years of nothing, its been on and off, meaning ill get it for a week or 2 then it will go away for a week or 2, sometimes i get the pains for a day, its really horrible, i am getting married next week and i dont want these pains to spoil my day... When i get the antibiotics for urine infection it will go away for 5 days and come back... I cant live like this anymore and im afraid there is something wrong... also i can not afford to be going to the doctors so often as its expensive, some weeks i just live with the pains and take pain killers... Have you ever seen anything like this and PLEASE give me some advice... thank you in advance. :)may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As there is chronic dysuria issue, the diagnosis of the underlying cause is very vital rather than taking empiric antibiotics which are the usual case in self-medication.
* Kindly consult an expert urosurgeon at the nearest medical center for the need of ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis with or without ascending urethrography to rule out underlying stone or narrowing of the urethra giving repeated discomfort.
* In case that you can not consult in private, search online, which primary care center has facility of the super specialist visit on a particular day and you will get least costing there for best results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
