What Is The Urination Problem In My 11 Years Old?

My 11 year old son is having some issues with urination. He sometimes goes every 15 mins. He said it doesn't burn but he feels like he needs to pee a lot but then only a small amount comes out. We increased his water intake and he is still having issues. No fever or pain.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi.
With repeated urination problem, u must not increase the intake of water without knowing the cause of problem.
Firstly rule out phimosis. This could lead to inadequate emptying of bladder and urinary tract infection.
Rule out constipation. this could lead to inappropriate bladder training and inadequate bladder emptying.
Get urine routine and culture and ultrasound KUB with post void residual urine.
If above findings r normal and ultrasound shows increased residual urine, u must also the re out posterior urethral valve.
Kindly get back to me with above test reports or visit a urologist. For the time being plz don't increase intake of water as it can negatively affect kidneys in case of any kind of bladder emptying problem.
