My son, 1 year old, had a temp 37.8 1am last night so gave Panadol. Was irritable all day but no temp. Put to bed, just checked on him and he head really sweaty (his hair is wet) so checked temp again (35.6). His body is cool to touch. I m confused. Is he still sick?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic
When you give antipyretic to the baby with high temperature usually it comes down with sweating.
There is nothing worry about it.
Ofcourse you have to find out the cause of the fever and treat it to prevent further attacks of fever.
If it is viral fever usually it subsides of its own..
Hope this answer will serve your purpose.
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required.
Take care
