What Is Your Diagnosis For The Face Getting Deformed And The Cheeks Becoming Larger Having A History Of Pulmonary TB?

I am 37, my face is as round as a moon now, I had pulmonary Tb in 1999 which was well treated but t has left with me a slight cough and short of breath since then. My noise never really clears. It s now been 2 yards sine when I noticed that my cheeks are getting larger and they feel heavy t Like I have been chewing a lot. My face is getting deformed . Could it be because of the tb I had or it s something new? Over time I have taken a lot of antibiotics which should have cleaed it really like amoxil, penicillin, bacterium etc What s your diagnosis or advice

Pulmonologist 's  Response
hi welcome to hcm
i have gone through your query and try to answer it
as you said you had ptb in 1999 and got yourself cured with medicines.once a person gets pulmonary tb andgets treated for it the following may happen
1.completely cured with out any fibrosis
2.may lead to residual fibrosis
3.may lead to post tubercular copd
4.post tb bronchectasis
as you are saying that you were having cough on and off since then and being treated with variuos antibiotics , iwould suggest you toget a [ulmonologist opinion
regarding your problem of moon face it could be a normal weight gain or you doctor might be using inadverent steroids which might have caused some thing like cushings syndrome so iw ould advise you to visit a pulmonologist for you evaluation
hope you got your answer
with warm regards
Dr NSK
