What Kind Of Treatment Is Required For The 6 Year Old After Analyzing The Stool Report?

My baby boy (6 weeks) cries before passing stool and stool full report was done. It shows pus cells 20-30/ HPF and red cells 8/ HPF. Amaebae, ova and cysts are not present. What is the significance of this and what type of treatment does he need?
Many thanks

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Presence of pus cells in stool signifies infection and the site of infection is likely to be colon.
If the baby is having loose stools, then 7 day regimen of Metronidazole will be helpful.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak
