What Leads To Headaches After Taking Singulair And Estrogen?

I have been having a headache after I take my evening meds for about the last week. I take crestor, tricor, singulair, flexeril, estrogen and progesterone. Which one has a headache at the top of the list? None of these meds are new, except I started taking estrogen and progesteron about 1 month ago. Thanks.

Hello,

You are suffering from headache. you are on prescription medicines you have mentioned. Headaches are commonly caused due to dehydration, stress (emotional or physical), exhaustion, strenuous exercises, low blood pressure, low blood glucose level, depletion in sodium - potassium in your body electrolyte system, side effects of certain medicines, etc.

You have been taking Flexiril, it can cause you headache, dizziness, dryness of mouth, etc. Avoid taking alcohol, smoking, etc. Stay away from addictions if any. You can report to your treating doctor regarding your symptoms. In the meantime, do not skip meals, take home made balanced nutritional food in time.

Take soups, water and rehydrating fluids so that your BP, blood glucose level and electrolyte balance normalizes. You can take acetaminophen, one SOS to get rid of headache. In the meantime avoid getting constipated. Constipation triggers headache, Take laxatives if required and take high fiber diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

I can say that singular doesn’t cause headaches as a first side effect. Meanwhile, the others are hormones and especially if the headache has started recently, that probably is mostly due to the latter. Please talk with your doctor about this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
