What Made A Swimmer Vomit After Winning A Race?

My granddaughter is a swimmier...she has gone to Stae for compitition....since her one meet last year when she threw up after winning her race she has a hard time competeing and claims she feels ill and wants to go home before the start of her race.... what can we do?

I am so sorry to hear about this disturbing scenario. we all develop different reactions leading up to competitions. She would need to work with a psychologist who would help her cope with this feeling. The truth is that there is no disease that explains this but her state of mind and emotions leading up to this. Assure and reassure her and let her understand of what importance it is to represent her institution and her personal career goals.
