My husband has been experiencing frequent urinating, urgency to urinate even after he uses the bathroom and sometimes not making it. Stomach around his belly button hurts to touch. He also has frequent and sometimes painful bowl movements and then will have diarrhea. His stools are sometimes black and sometimes bloody. He has IBS and Hemorrhoids. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think it would be advisable to do an ultrasound and rectal examination and PSA.
I think it can be an issue with his prostate which is causing these symptoms.
Possibly prostate tumours may give frequent and incomplete urination together with blood in stools.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

General & Family Physician Dr. Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to a urinary tract infection. The painful bowel movement are probably related to the diarrhea. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to use a cycle of antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin twice a day for a week. I recommend to use daily probiotics. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to go at the emergency room for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
