What Medication Is Suggested For Itchy Hives?

I have recently broke out into itchy hives. Yesterday I saw a urgent care doctor and he couldnt figure out why I broke out but said it was either an allergic reaction or an internal virus and adviced me to stop taking my OxyPro Elitte, which I have been on and off of since June. He gave me Prednisone (1 pill twice a day with food)to relieve the hives. I am also on Flexeril for neck pain Ive been experiencing. I only take the Flexeril at night before bed because of it making me drowsy instead of the 3 recommended doses a day. Because I am use to all of the energy i get from OxyElite Pro I am exhausted! That cant be whats causing my hives... ive been on it for so long and have never had problems before. Can I take the OxyElite to wake me up and allow me to get through the day with my Prednisone??
