What Medication Is Suggested For Loss Of Memory?

Hi there I need to talk to someone about my mom she is 62 years old and over the last 2 months she has become very forgetfull. she told me the same joke sunday within 15 mins and she was not aware that I already knew. when playibg cards with the family she forgets who to deal to next. she has had conversations with us all and then forgets that she has talked to us at all. I'm worried it my be Alzimas can you help me

1. Yes, forgetfulness - impaired ability to recall previous learned information or to learn new information is one of the earliest sign of Alzheimer's disease.
2. However, other factors like language disturbance, failure to recognize or identify objects or inability to carry out motor activities requires evaluation.
3. Mini-mental examination or recall test can confirm.
4. She will require cholinesterase inhibitors like donezepil or rivastigmine. Non-pharmacological therapy will also be necessary. Meet your neurologist for diagnosis and prescription.
