What Precautions Should Be Taken To Have A Healthy Pregnancy?
Hi doctor,
In my torch report toxoplasma is 79 Igg, rubella igg is 269 & cmv igg is 26 what does it mean? what medication & precaution i should take to have a healthy pregnancy since i had to terminate my 8th month pregnancy due sudden stoppage of heartbeat of my baby 2months back
Dear member. Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. I am extremely for your loss. loss of fetal heart at 8 months can be due to 1.fetal abnormality 2.diabetes in mother 3. hypertension or high b.p 4.poor growth in fetus with low weight and less growth 5 rarely infections with toxoplasmosis, rubella, cmv. it is very important to evaluate why you lost the previous pregnancy. if you had any of the above factors steps can be taken to prevent a loss again. to clients who come to my clinic with similar complaints I recommend preconceptional all blood tests especially thyroid profile, blood sugars fasting and glycosylated hb to check for any problems and treat accordingly. also taking tab folvite 5 mg even before the pregnancy decreases the risk of heart, spine defects in baby.
regarding the blood tests you have posted it indicates you might have had past infection and are immune to them now as IgG LEVELS are high.so no further treatment needs to be done in this regard. write back with previous pregnancy details and may be I can give a clearer opinion. Thanks. Dr Bhagyashree.
