What Problem Does Scan Report Indicate And Suggest Treatment?
I have just received a report from the medical lab: grade 1 tetrollsthesis of L3 is noted a L4. There is diffuse evidence of moderate severity lumbar spondylosis and mild lover lumbar vacet arthropathy. How does this affect me in the future and what can I do to improve this situation?
There is slight malalignment of lumbar bones L 3 and L 4. There is also degenerative changes in the small bones of lower back. The nerve roots pass through these neural foramina and you might have severe nerve root compression at that level.
The nerve pain may be controlled with restricted physical activity and pain relief medication. Please do not do heavy physical activity till you are comfortable. Surgery is not always indicated but pain control measures must be taken. There are medications given for neurogenic pain and it works in most patients. You may also apply muscle relaxants and pain relief ointments.
