Hello,

Painful lymphadenopathy may be due to infection or fibromyalgia with musculoskeletal pain.

Please get examined for respiratory, head and neck infection by chest x-ray and oral cavity examination.

If necessary blood investigations needed to rule out Infectious mononucleosis or other viral infection.use tablet paracetamol thrice a day for five days to relieve the pain.

Consult your physician and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

General & Family Physician Dr. Dr. Dipan Samanta's  Response
Hello,

I advise you to do some tests:
1. CT scan of the neck, armpit
2. Complete Blood Count
3. Thyroid Function Test (T3, T4, TSH)

Apart from the above tests, I also advise you to take a physical examination, if possible.

Please do these tests as soon as possible and post another question with those or consult a doctor.

In the meantime, you can do:
-Apply a warm compress
-Over- the- counter pain reliever
-Massage
-A saltwater gargle for lymph nodes in the neck caused by an infection in the throat.

If too much pain, you can take NSAIDs like Ibuprofen.

Do you have a fever or are you fatigued?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
