Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 15year old and I ve been suffering from fever and severe weakness for the past 4-5 days.Im a regular exerciser and swimmer and indeed a very active child.I wonder if overtraining might have been a reason for my illness.i have been on a dosage of kalpol and azitheronycin for the past 3days and now the fever is gone but there is immense weakness in my legs.I wish to know what sort of diet and rest plan would help me gain back energy and recover fast. And also when can I get back to my normal exercise routines?
Hi...I congratulate you for coming out with your problems openly. There is no specific diet advised, normal diet will do. Only advice is to avoid spicy foods and aerated beverages. Apart form this, you can go back to workout and exercise whenever you personally you are fit. The pain in legs indicate that it could have been a viral illness and the progress of recovery will be rapid, don't worry. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
