What Should Be Done For Bruise On Outer Thigh?

Today my 12 and 14 year old played paintball for the first time. I was nervous about them playing but allowed them to go with a group of friends and their mothers to a paintball park. My 12 year old came back with a bruise on her outer thigh I am concerned about. Maybe I am just paranoid but I am concerned about blood clots. Should I be concerned over a bruise?

Hi,

Do not worry. The bruise on thigh may be due to trauma. It is a harmless and temporary condition. It may disappear within a week or two. Gradually the for may change to brown-black... then it may be followed by normal color. There is no need to treat...ok.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
