What Should Be Done For Fever And Side Effects Like Back Pain And Stomach Cramps After Taking An I-pill?

Hi my friend had have an ipill after an unprotected sex she took pill after 17 hours within 24 hours. After taking a pill she is have some side effect like back pain keen pain little cramp in stomach these are manageable but she is also having fever (103) and and pulse around 125 which is the concern its been a day having the pill but still having 102 fever although after taken a paracetamol fever reduced by 100 for a while but comeback agin .Let me know what to do please.?

Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of getting urinary infection during intercourse. Get your urine culture done. If urinary tract infection is diagnosed, oral antibiotics will suits you. You will be given pain relieving medications & medicine for acidity PPIs, to help get relieve from stomach pain. For relief from backache you are advised to take acetaminophen, one stat after food.

Avoid using public washrooms, take care of your hygiene. Your partner is also advised to get Urinalysis (R/E & C/S) done & treated if urinary infection is detected. You are advised to avoid sexual intercourse for a couple of days till you are being treated. Take plenty of water & fluids.
