What Stuck Feeling In Throat After Accidentally Swallowing Chewing Gum?

Last night I accidentally swallowed some gum while eating, and 24 hours later it still feels as though it s stuck in my throat. Sometimes when I swallow I can feel a lump like it s in there, though not all the time, which makes me think it might just be psychological. However I m not sure. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern.

It seems that you have an injury in the throat. It is probably just a feeling that you have and is most likely not related to anything serious.

If the feeling does not go away after 3 days, then you need to see a Doctor as soon as possible. All the best and wish you good health.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
