dear doc, 45 days ago, there was fracture in my left forearm . the findings are below, radius ulna L upper M/3, ulnar nerve paresis two pieces of both bones operation was done like CRIF done with close IM nailing AE cast applied. 2 days ago cast removed. in ulna the rod inserted from elbow.when i touch at elbow i feel this end of rod very near to skin . so does it effect on full movement of elbow? the x-ray shows there is still gap in radius so what time it take to get fully healing? and after what time it will become as original? and also i would like to know after how many time the ulnar nerve take to recover?

Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic

Hi.... It takes around 90 to 100 days for a fracture to get united to the normal form...The gap in the radius will be filled with the new bone called as callous, which will appear by 2 to 3 weeks and mature by 3 months.., there will be mild restriction of the movement of the elbow joint.. but after some time it will come back to normal.., after 1 of 2 years they will remove the implant..
Hope I have answered your question..

Takecare..
